Dinner tonight.
My fridge is currently only filled with grapes, vegetables, a half eaten chicken carcass and cottage cheese. Blah. I got home real late tonight and since I made cornbread yesterday, that was dinner. Boring! But have you ever been too tired to eat? So that's all it's gonna be =( And to think my plan was pork loin, summer tomatos, corn on the cob and rosemary bread!::Sigh::

Yep. Too tired to cook. Too tired to eat. Sometimes no appetite from the heat & humidity that drains the life out of you. A lot of the Summer, I exist on salads, sandwiches & fruit. The other night I had a bowl of ice cream for dinner because that was the limit to my energy: scoop ice cream into bowl. I do have to admit your original dinner plan sounds awfully yummy though.
Bet you stay nice and slim! I went to New Orleans two summer's ago to visit family. It was SO HOT I didn't want to eat there either. If I get fat when I get old, I'm moving down south! Oh and ice cream for dinner is something I am totally down with =)
Too tired to cook? Yes. Too tired to eat? Never.
Dan- Typical =)
Yes creating a meal uin our minds hurrying home lost interest..yes yes
awe I am sorry your imaginative dinner plans have been dashed by the robbing of energy. That is a bummer. When money lets me, I will stop in at Subway and get a salad for dinner. I love not having to think about what to cook.....but I must feed my family.
You're too funny - lame-o-girl. I know the feeling. Last night I was planning on making spaghetti & meatballs but I just didn't have it in me... (not too exotic, not difficult to make, but in the long run, better than take-out).
Instead we got pasta and shrimp at The Olive Garden. For some reason the dish was "blah" and I think I would have enjoyed my spaghetti better. At least it would have been a whole lot cheaper. (smile)

Susan- And now I am LOL! "Cheap-o, Broke-o girl!" I hate it when I get take out and I realize that I could do better on my own. Boy that really roasts my toasties! Especially with the ecomomy the way it is.
hope you don't mind a copy-cat with the template. They say (the infamous "they") that imitation is the best form of flattery!
Oh, and... honey is great on cornbread.
Andrea- of course I don't mind =) and I love the new look of your blog!
