Broomball

Pain! I am in Pain! (But it was worth it=)
Yesterday I played a game of Broomball with a bunch of friends. I have never heard of or seen this game until I moved out to the West Coast. Do you know of it? Its when you play on the ice in your tennis shoes and you have a wooden stick with a rubber end about five inches wide and you run around (Or more like sliding and falling into each other) and whack a hard plastic ball into the opponents goal. We also wore helmets for safety.
It was a blast! I have a hard time playing sport game passively or half heartily. So I am covered in bruises on both elbows and each hip and shin, because I fell so much. Last night I felt like the Princess and the Pea because I was so uncomfortable. Is it just me or do girls bruise more easily than guys? I don't know...

See now I wouldn't have been playing -- but I would have been documenting it with my camera & laughing my butt off! ;-)

Sounds like myself. Its all-out or nothing when it comes to my competitiveness. Which can be a bad thing.

And by bad, he means things like broken bones.

Sheesh it's late. Why aren't I in bed again...?

Dawn- Oh you should have see us! I wanted to take pictures, but I forgot my camera...and then again, there was no getting me off the ice. Oh, and yes, I took one spill smack on my right hip and all I can say is I'm glad I'm young!

Dan- Yeah, it's kinda bad. Maybe? But I think it's funny for other people to watch. I played the same way when I played soccer and that's how I got so "beat up" so to speak. I need to "Simma Down Now!" (Sorry that's from an old SNL.)

I wish we had that around here! It sounds like fun! I do wish you'd take it easy though, girl! Maybe wear full out padding next time? :) Oh, and if you take some vitamin C your bruises will heal more quickly. Unless you want to show them off as proud battle wounds- avoid the C in that case. :P

I am a walking bruise. Well, not really, but I think us girls do bruise easier since are the more delicate ones - LOL!

And I'm with you when it comes to competition, look out, my adrenaline gets going and there's no stopping!!!

I remember playing that at teen winter camp on the ice, loads of fun!

I hope you're feeling better soon :)

Oh, and about the Princess and the Pea? My husband says that I am her, literally. He thinks he is so funny... (smile)
