Summer's End

These are the savory days of Summer's End.
The softest breeze blows up from The Sound.
Sailboats drift on their last days joy
and I The Elusive hiding in shades of dark,
under this tree of heavy arms.
Mountains in Olympic form float in the distance
like a dream and l lean against this tree
and catch the sunshine in my lap.

Beautiful photos! I hope you are framing those for your home.

I'm up early because I'm so sad to let summer go...it's time to do everything we have missed so far this summer, in one day! Enjoy your day, let's hope this is a long glorious one :)
All the best,
Lindsay

Hi, just popping over for the first time after David mentioned you and I can see why. The photographs are astounding!
I love to capture the days when I visit the beach. It is awkward, german shepherd, car keys, camera, purse LOL!
Summer is indeed at it's close a brief summer certainly! Wettest since 1956!

Marvelous...Wish I was there! Was thinking today is a day to be on the water. Great photos and a nice evocation of the end of summer.

Those photos are absolutley *gorgeous*. Perfect balance between color, shadow & light in the first two. And I love the barely visible mountains in the background of the last one. Very well composed! So peaceful.
