Gray Sun

These months of Summer are supposed to be.
Yet they are not.
I know only a gray sun.
A gray sky.
A gray heart.
The heart should be red, full and oozing.
Yet it is not.
It is gray, deflated and dry.
The sun should be radiant, glowing
and cause me to cover my eyes.
Yet it is not.
It is dull, hiding, and when I look straight into the sky,
eyes searching for where the orb should be, they are lost in their search.
It seems for every one day of sunlight, I'm given five of none.
I miss it's warmth, like the embrace of a far away friend.
It is not Summer, or Spring, or Fall, or Winter.
It is just Gray.

Hi Colleen,

Nice to see a word that is not commonly used today - `orb'.

You project your thoughts with so much style.

Keep smiling

David

Hey, Colleen,

Isn't the Seatle area cloudy an average of 226 days a year? Girl, you need to relocate!

Wait, better not, else you'll end up writing stuff that "The Wiggles" might sing.

Hey, Hey, Hey We're All Pirate Dancing...

Bury me ten feet under before that happens.

Pin :-)

David-

It's nice to know, that even if i'm feeling a little down, at least I can convey it in style. =)

AWOB- Acutally, I kinda had a crush on Greg from The Wiggles three years ago. The little girl I was a nanny for used to love that show and we'd watch it all the time and so, they kinda grew on me!! Don't tell!

Mega Man- hey thanks ;0)

Colleen! You know it's true! But now I'm on vaca. in New Jersey...not sad ANY MORE!
