Stars...Twilight...Moon

The Starry eyes
of twilight,
are lingering around.
And Winter frosts
the evening,
with silence to be found.

*********************

A twilight sky
in morning.
A winter's dusky day.
A morning light
in evening,
As nature shows
it's way.

*********************

The moon followed me home tonight.
I told him to go away.
I shook my fist at him and said,
"Don't you hear a word I say?"
But he just kept on shining,
Up there in the sky.
I think I 'll get my BB gun,
and shoot him in the eye.
But I'm told the moon doesn't have eyes,
Which makes no sense to me.
If the moon followed me home tonight,
Then surly he can see!

But how do we
know that the moon
isn't a she?

Susan- thank you!

Dan- I considered this last night. All I can say is that I liked the idea of calling the moon a 'He'. (shrug):)

Wow! I didn't realized how dark, stern, and cynical my poetry has become until I read yours. If I had written it, it would probably had been something like "Stalker Moon". I need to lighten up!

That last one made me giggle, but the first two? Oh Colleen. The imagery is outstanding. I could see the Winter landscape of my grandparents' property perfectly in my mind's eye while I read them.

Pin- thats pretty funny. At least you are aware of yourself, but still, your stuff is good.

Dawn-(regarding the first two poems) I have a feeling, whatever you invision is prettier in your head than what I envision, since I hand nothing visual to make mine up. =)

Holly- you're right! I forgot about that!

Colleen- Are you describing me? Or my poetry? Ahahahaha!

That makes it even more incredible that you can write that with no picture in your head to draw from!
